Montrose Access
Montrose Access specialises in the provision of support services for people with physical disabilities. ADA where appointed to design a couple of homes which provided the physically disabled residents the ability to live independently in a dignified manner. Extensive research was done into their day to day challenges and along with a number of design workshops involving Occupational Therapists and Carers a design scope was established. These three bedroom houses successfully provided all the necessary assistive technologies in a homely environment. The residents are able to operate from their devices the doors, blinds, fans, lighting, air conditioning and audio visual equipment. Other assistive features include, sensor taps, ceiling hoists, raised garden beds, visual pantry, adjustable island bench, and home automation. These architectural homes sit proudly within this popular residential estate and have provided their occupants a new lease on life.
